Over 40 volunteers including members of Mu Epsilon Omega and their family members, friends, and ASCEND Scholars refreshed and renewed three outdoor playgrounds at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Orange, CA. The 1908 Playground Project is one of the Community Impact Days under Launching New Dimensions of Service Target 4 – Environmental Ownership.

During the service project, volunteers planted dragon snaps and a small tree; painted 9 picnic tables and benches; power washed and sanitized all playground equipment; chairs, and toys; raked debris from the sand; added rubber mulch under the jungle gym; and donated sand toys.

When children returned to the playground on Monday, they were pleasantly surprised and excited to see and make good use of the beautiful makeover that took place for their benefit.
