On Saturday, May 10, 2014, Mu Epsilon Omega chapter members, Angela Monteilh and Victoria Morris-Ivie, hosted the 5th Annual Hats & Gloves Scholarship Tea silent auction winner, Katrina Nix, to a special treat. SShe and her family were given a personal tour of the late Michael Jackson’s Hayvenhurst estate in Encino, California by none other than his older brother, Jermaine Jackson. To further support the scholarship fund, Jermaine invited guests to tour his family home, and he also donated a signed copy of his book, You Are Not Alone: Michael, Through a Brother’s Eyes, a compelling and intimate account of life with his late brother.

As guests toured the grounds, Jermaine shared special moments and memories of his brother Michael, while admiring the architectural and artistic workmanship of the home which is situated on two acres and surrounded by citrus trees and exotic plants. “Hayvenhurst will always be a special place,” said Jermaine as he shared stories about growing up in the Jackson family.

Mu Epsilon Omega Chapter president, Angela Monteilh, presented Jermaine with a letter of appreciation from Mu Epsilon Omega Chapter thanking him for his generosity. This was the first time the Jackson home has been opened to a “Divine 9” organization.
