Members of Mu Epsilon Omega Chapter honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by engaging in a day of service in our community through love in keeping with Dr. King’s life and teachings. Although the pandemic has kept us from socially interacting, it did not prevent us from participating in the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service where we honored the veterans in our community by making donations to Heroes Hall Museum and Education Center and Veterans Legal Institute. Heroes Hall is a free, permanent, year-round museum and education center with exhibitions, performances and educational programs that celebrate the legacy of Orange County veterans and others who have served our nation. Veterans Legal Institute provides pro bono legal assistance to homeless, at risk, disabled and low income current and former service members to eradicate barriers to housing, healthcare, education, and employment and foster self-sufficiency. We also celebrated in song with our Panhellenic sisters in a virtual MLK Commemorative Concert.
